My installation works rely on self-written software, as do many of my performances. I also build custom hardware. From 1999 to 2025, I was actively involved in the development of the commercial music software Ableton Live. I consider the creation of beautiful and elegant tools to be an art form in itself, one that is inspired by other artistic practices and, in turn, reflects back on the works created with those tools.
